My name is Juan Pablo Ruiz and I had the honor of participating in the “Jóvenes en Acción” program in 2015.
I can boast that the program I was a part of helped me to develop skills that benefited my academic and professional life. It showed me that no matter your background, you set the limits to get where you want. It also made me open my eyes that one can interact and form friendships with anyone regardless of nationality, culture, or religion. These are just a few of the many things I learned during my experience in Pensacola, for which I am deeply grateful. It has been an experience that I will never forget in my life.
Today I finished my degree at the University of Colima, Mexico with a double degree at the Zhejiang International Studies University in Hangzhou, China. I am working in a company, and I have many plans for the years coming. However, in the future, I would like to go back and visit Pensacola.
