Are you curious about global issues and interested in learning about different cultures? Youth Diplomats is a local educational program for high school students in Northwest Florida who want to explore global topics through learning and dialogue.
Youth Diplomats is an 11-month experiential learning program that introduces teens to civic learning, community awareness, and global perspectives. Students meet once a month in Pensacola for facilitated sessions focused on communication, cooperation, and leadership concepts as they relate to community well-being. Students who live outside the area are encouraged to consider our Camp Global program.
Through educational sessions and conversations with local and international professionals, students build awareness of skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and effective communication. Programming introduces participants to a range of academic and career fields through discussion and exploration rather than training or placement. Students also participate in community service activities as part of their learning experience.
Participants may receive digital recognition aligned with the Open Badges standard for participation and completion of program elements. Youth Diplomats also learn about language learning and international exchange opportunities that are available through separate, merit-based application processes.
Applications for the tenth cohort are accepted on a rolling basis, with a deadline of May 15, 2026. Additional details about the program and application process are available below.
