Youth Ambassadors

Gulf Coast Diplomacy works with U.S. Department of State–sponsored Youth Ambassador exchange programs that bring international high school students to Northwest Florida for short-term educational exchanges.

Each year, Gulf Coast Diplomacy coordinates host family placements for visiting youth participants from other countries. These exchanges are designed to support intercultural learning and mutual understanding by giving students the opportunity to experience daily life in the United States within a host family setting.

Visiting students typically stay with host families in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties for one to two weeks. During their stay, students participate in structured educational programming and cultural activities coordinated by Gulf Coast Diplomacy and partner organizations.

Host families play an important role in supporting educational exchange by providing lodging, meals, and opportunities for cultural sharing. No prior hosting experience is required.

Additional information about host family participation and upcoming exchange opportunities is available by selecting the “Apply to Be a Host Family” button on this page.
