Northwest Florida is not just known for its hospitality. Did you know the Center for Cybersecurity at the University of West Florida (UWF) is a regional research and education hub? International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and Open World participants discover this and more while examining ways to increase collaboration with each other and the interlocutors they meet in Florida.
In Pensacola, groups can explore how government leaders work to address cybercrime prevention and discuss new approaches to information technology security. They can examine research developments in artificial intelligence, robotics, machine learning, and human-machine interaction at the Institute of Human and Machine Cognition.
At UWF, they can focus on the Cybersecurity Innovation Alliance and Cybersecurity for All® program that promotes public-private partnerships and innovative educational strategies for cybersecurity. The UWF College of Business can also address questions, and visitors can have additional interaction with locals through a community coffee discussion or by attending a Saturday morning session with the Youth Diplomats. Groups can also discuss strategies to counter challenges as they participate in a cybersecurity simulation.
