Building the Workforce of Tomorrow in Northwest Florida

“When an IVLP group comes to Northwest Florida, we don’t just host them. We connect them with the people and places shaping America’s future.”

A Visit Focused on Workforce Development

In June 2023, Gulf Coast Diplomacy welcomed nine leaders from Bahrain’s Ministry of Youth Affairs for an International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) project on youth employability.

Over four days, participants explored how our region prepares the next generation for success in industries that are vital to our economy and security. The program combined professional meetings, hands-on experiences, and cultural activities to give visitors a true sense of how Northwest Florida builds its workforce and strengthens our country.

Why It Matters

For Our Community

Every IVLP visit brings real economic benefits. Hotels, restaurants, transportation services, and local attractions all gain business when we welcome international visitors. Beyond the numbers, these exchanges give our neighbors the chance to contribute to a project that reflects American values and strengthens our role in national security.

For Our Nation

IVLP projects create lasting professional networks, share best practices, and promote the exchange of ideas that benefit communities on both sides, all while contributing to national security. Northwest Florida’s professionalism, hospitality, and expertise make it a rewarding destination for visitors and a trusted partner for IVLP decision makers.

Thank You to Our Partners

We are deeply grateful to every organization and individual who contributed to this program. Your expertise, hospitality, and generosity show the world that Northwest Florida is a place where professional exchanges thrive.
