Young Professionals Go To Washington!

The Gulf Coast Citizen Diplomacy Council is excited to announce an open competition for attendance at the Global Ties U.S. 2017 National Meeting scheduled for February 8-11, 2017 in Washington, D.C.

THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 12, 2016!

This is a professional development opportunity for members of the Young Professionals of the Gulf Coast Citizen Diplomacy Council who are interested in learning more about the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program.

The meeting theme is Unity in Community. Visit the event website in the ticket URL for details on sessions and speakers.

If selected, the Young Professional will have the opportunity to participate in all meeting activities except for the by-invitation-only reception given by the U.S. Department of State. This includes concurrent sessions, a luncheon with ambassadors, networking lunches, and an embassy reception.

Selection includes:

• Round-trip airfare to Washington, D.C.
• Meals and Lodging during meeting activities
• Transportation between DCA and the conference hotel
• Registration to the Global Ties U.S. National Meeting

The Young Professional will be responsible for transportation costs to and from Pensacola International Airport, travel day meal expenses, and any lodging outside of the national meeting schedule (before February 8th or after February 11th).

To be eligible, applicants must be current in their Young Professional dues, be available for travel February 8 – 11th, and be willing to share a hotel room with a same-sex member of the Young Professionals of the Gulf Coast Citizen Diplomacy Council.
